Pink Starburst Shot
Starburst shots are ready to throw back in under 5 minutes. Cocktails with minimal ingredients are our go-to; this one being no exception. Pass on the C4 Starburst energy drink and make these instead.
Snag a bag of Starburst all pink and red candies on Amazon. The mix includes the following flavors: strawberry, watermelon, fruit punch, and cherry. You don’t need them to make the drink but they’re fun to nosh on while taking your shooter.
Vanilla Vodka
Vanilla is an essential flavor element as it really makes it taste like a pink Starburst shooter. There are two options to add this flavor element:
Option 1 – Use vanilla vodka
Option 2 – Use regular vodka but add 1/8 tsp of real vanilla extract to the mix for each shot.
How to Make A Pink Starburst Shooter
Only a few quick steps stand between you and a shot glass full of pink goodness!
- Place 1-2 tbsp. of pink sugar on a small plate. Place 1-2 tbsp corn syrup on a second small plate. Dip the top of the shot glass into the corn syrup followed by the sugar to coat. Set aside.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice followed by the watermelon schnapps, vodka and sweet and sour mix. Shake well for 15-20 seconds.
- Pour the mixture into a shot glass and shoot away!

Variations

Rim – Use Chamoy Sauce or white sugar on the rim.
Juice – Replace the watermelon schnapps with watermelon juice or even other flavored juices: guava, or strawberry.
Mix up the Pucker! Try strawberry schnapps or mango schnapps. Here are other schnapps flavors to consider.
Pink Slushy
Turn your pink Starburst shooter into a pink Starburst cocktail slushy. To make, just add all the ingredients into a high speed blender along with a cup or two of ice and blend until slushy.
Are Starburst Gluten-free
Yes- Starburst fruit chews are gluten-free candy. Starburst gluten-free candy is safe for those gluten intolerant. Score!
No Cocktail Shaker, No Problem
Don’t have a cocktail shaker? No worries – just add everything into a large cup with ice and stir until mixed. Then pour the liquid out to a shot glass as you don’t want the ice watering down the shot.
Pink Starburst Drink Tips
- Don’t have corn syrup? Use honey or agave. If pressed for another option, use lime juice. Just rub a slice on the top edges to coat before dipping in the sugar.
- Scale up and make a “party punch”. Add the watermelon pucker schnapps, vodka and sweet and sour mix to a large pitcher and stir. When ready to serve, shake in a cocktail shaker to chill and serve.
