This prime rib sandwich recipe requires minimal reheating time equaling a butter soft bite mirroring it’s initial cook texture.

Another quick, easy and cheap way to use up leftover standing rib roast. The most basic is to throw in chopped prime rib with the cheese when grilling. The meat will heat while the cheese melts. If you’d like a fancier option, check out this quesadilla recipe with pineapple salsa.

Chicken Enchilada - Mexican cuisine

Steak Enchiladas

Mexican enchiladas are a great way to use up leftover beef. Make a simple prime rib enchilada using this chicken enchiladas recipe (just add cold chopped prime rib instead of chicken).

You haven’t lived unless you’ve made our smoked queso. Throw in chopped up prime rib for a show stopper. No need to reheat the prime rib before throwing it into the mix. As the cheese melts the meat will heat.

The name alone conjures up the warm and fuzzies. To make, just add cold chopped up prime rib to your favorite chili recipe, or Smoked chili, during the last 5 minutes of cook time.

Prime rib and puff pastry? Um, yes! To make steak and ale pie with leftover beef, just cut the meat into chunks and add it to the recipe when indicated.

Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff

Prime Rib Stroganoff 

Leftover prime rib stroganoff is an excellent choice if your meat is well done. The gravy and flavors add a bit of juiciness back to the beef. Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff is our favorite way to prepare this iconic dish. Just add the cubed beef to the Instant Pot when indicated in the recipe.

Instant Pot Mac and Cheese

Steak Pasta

Pretty much any pasta recipe can do with some steak, especially Smoked Mac and Cheese or Instant Pot Mac and Cheese. Just add the chopped meat during the last 5 minutes of cook time. If making in the Instant Pot, once the pasta is done cooking, add the meat, stir and let sit for 3-4 minutes to warm the beef.

To make steak alfredo using leftovers, just re-heat the prime rib using your preferred method (see our How to Reheat Prime Rib guide) and add to the top of your favorite alfredo recipe.

If you end up having leftover beef roast, the first thing you need to do is store it properly so the quality and butter-like texture stays intact as much as possible.

To store, wrap the roast, or slices, in plastic wrap followed by an airtight container. Place in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
